Issue | February 2, 2022

The countdown to Valentine's Day is officially on and if you are still looking for that special gift for your loved one, consider the gift of travel! We have handpicked our favorite romantic destinations within the U.S. based on each type of traveler below. Whether you are looking to celebrate your favorite person or spoil yourself with a well-deserved trip, we are happy to assist in the best gift you can give - travel!

Hotel del Coronado - Coronado, CA

"The iconic Hotel del Coronado is a destination in itself and the perfect getaway for a family or couple looking to relax and unwind while not skimping on the fun! I highly recommend visiting just after a holiday to avoid the crowds and enjoy the resort at a slower pace." - Taryn Rinke, VIP Client Services

Hotel Suites Based on Hit Shows

We rounded up the most popular shows everyone has been talking about lately and imagined what suites our favorite characters would be checking into on vacation. Take a look below at these stunning and unique suites and keep an eye out for which suites have been dreamed up by our team, and a few that were actually filmed at the hotels.

HBO's new breakout series, "The White Lotus" captivated us with stunning images of Maui and the Four Seasons Wailea. We can't get enough of the views from the Maile Three-Bedroom Presidential Suite that Nicole and her family enjoyed during their wild stay. Just don't try to book the Pineapple Suite!

Channel your inner fashionista with a stay at the Haute Couture Suite at Hotel Plaza Athenee. Not only does this suite embody the main character of "Emily in Paris," but an episode of this hit Netflix show was actually filmed at the hotel in Season 1.

Relax like Axe in your penthouse soaring above midtown Manhattan. Catch a breeze on your private rooftop terrace or watch your market positions while you pedal in your personal fitness room. You don’t have to make billions to play like an Axe Cap CEO.

The Royal Lochnagar Suite, the best suite at Gleneagles, would undoubtedly have Logan Roy and his children fighting over it... and we can see why! Actually featured in Season 2 of “Succession”, Gleneagles, is the perfect setting for sibling rivalry and good old fashioned competition on the Ryder Cup golf course or on the shooting range, just to name a few of the sporting activities in between sips of whiskey.

A suite fit for a queen! Live like a royal in the Presidential Suite at the elegant and luxurious Lanesborough hotel in London. Enjoy round-the-clock dedicated butler service just as Queen Elizabeth II would have expected in Netflix's "The Crown."

Transport to Montana with the most famous ranching families! "Yellowstone's" John Dutton and family would be right at home in Bear House, one of The Ranch at Rock Creek’s unique luxury ranch homes. It may not have Rip Wheeler in the bunk house, but there’s an entire selection of accommodations, including luxury tents, if your “ranch hands” exceed the five bedrooms of Bear House.

The iconic Hotel del Coronado has so many interesting facts, it's obvious to see why it has been named a National Historic Landmark. The Del has hosted many celebrities, U.S. Presidents, and royals in its 130 years since opening. It has also been the perfect backdrop to films such as "Some Like It Hot" and "The Pearl of Paradise." Another fun fact? This is the only property in California that can still serve alcohol on the beach, making it a perfect choice for a destination wedding or event.

Now, here is our trivia question for you...

When Hotel del Coronado opened in 1888, what was the daily room rate?

We'll share the answer in next month's March issue!
